E-learning helps address construction labour needs
For a busy industry faced with an aging workforce, e-learning is an ideal way to meet the rising demand for a skilled, mobile labour force.
That may be why the CSC’s Construction e-Learning Centre has sold more than 40,000 courses in just a few years.
The centre offers online, industry-approved courses through close to 70 independent distributors across Canada, including construction associations, safety associations, labour groups, large companies, colleges and other training providers.
Nationally certified courses are available on a range of construction-related topics, including communications and conflict resolution, construction law, estimating, project management, pipeline safety, safety awareness, confined spaces, building information modeling and first level supervisor training. More are being added regularly.
Powerful, flexible technology helps the CSC tailor training solutions to the needs of the client. If needed, the CSC can manage the entire training process, from enrolment to tracking progress to issuing completion certificates. Courses can be co-branded for marketing purposes.
